FROM A COTTAGE TO A CASTLE

Soft sunrises are only one of the countless aspects of peacefulness often associated with living on the eastern end of the island. Here, lush rainforest jungle, golden and white sand beaches, and clear, swimmable rivers and waterfalls are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. You can’t help but feel a strong sense of connection with nature, be it actively exploring life under the sea, trekking to a distant waterfall, or simply stepping out the front door with your morning cup of Blue Mountain coffee in hand.

Just five minutes away from the renowned Frenchman’s Cove Beach, tucked into the hills of Portland, awaits a ‘soft reset for the soul’ according to owners David Lee and Stefanie Neno—co-founders of My Port Antonio Holiday Ltd. This is Searenity, a boutique eco-property consisting of several cottages situated on 30 acres in the heart of a bird sanctuary, with sweeping views of the Blue Mountains, the Caribbean

Sea, and nearby Nonsuch Falls. It is a blend of natural beauty, thoughtful design, and grounded luxury that invites you to simply be. Searenity began as a personal sanctuary—a space for stillness, restoration, and healthy, nature-connected living. The natural tranquility and beauty of the space inspired them to open it to guests from Jamaica and beyond. “We started this space for ourselves, our family, and friends,” says Stefanie. “But the healing power of the land made it clear—we had to share it.”

David is a world-champion freediver, underwater photo-grapher, cinematographer, and a passionate advocate for sustainable travel in Jamaica. Stefanie brings her vision and heart to creating a serene, stylish, and nature-connected retreat that speaks to both comfort and wellness.
